Designing your landscape
Design fees range from $2,000-$3,500. Fees will vary depending on the complexity of the project. Most construction budgets range from $30,000-$150,000+.
Process
Initial Consultation
The initial on-site consultation is at no cost to potential clients. This meeting is typically 30 minutes and is an opportunity to meet on site and get acquainted with your project. After evaluating the scope and services needed, a custom design proposal will be provided.
Measurements and Site Analysis
After approval of the design proposal, an online client questionnaire is filled out to aid the design process. The second on-site visit is for a site analysis and to take measurements for the design base map.
Conceptual Designs
The next meeting will be to review conceptual designs. Two concept drawings are presented along with plant idea boards and material samples.
Revision, Final Design and Planting Plan
The next phase is to finalize design. The final design includes a detailed plan in addition to plant lists that include quantities and recommended sizes. If applicable, lighting and outdoor furniture recommendations are also finalized.
SERVICES
Mike Wicker Landscape Design is a full-service design and installation company that works closely with its clients to create custom designs and provide comprehensive construction oversight to follow a project from beginning to end.
Design fees range from $2000 - $4000 depending on the complexity of the project.
Most construction budgets range from $15,000 to $75,000+.
PROCESS
Initial Consultation
The initial site visit is an opportunity to meet clients and begin the process of understanding the client's vision for the project. It involves asking a lot of questions to fully understand the needs and concerns of the homeowners. A questionnaire is sent in advance of the meeting to gather some initial information about the scope and services needed. Measurements will be taken to build an estimate for the design fee and construction budget.
Conceptual Design and Proposal
During the proposal meeting, a written agreement is presented that includes the design fee and estimated construction budget. A conceptual design is solidified, and the formal CAD design process begins.
Final Design
The final design is a scaled design that includes a detailed planting plan, irrigation, masonry, retaining walls, wooden structures, water features, lighting, and anything else involved in the scope of the project. Once all revisions are complete and a final design is agreed upon, an installation timeline is established.
Installation
During the construction phase, we coordinate our tradespersons and oversee all aspects of implementation. We are onsite each day to accept the delivery of materials and respond to any site variations. Ultimately, we want to ensure that everything is installed according to plan and the homeowner is satisfied with the result.
